Hurricane Sandy

Anyone who watches the news or surfs the Internet knows that the East coast was hit with a storm earlier in the week.  We live in Southern Delaware and though we definitely dealt with the storm, we didn't suffer the consequences nearly as bad as our neighbors to the North in New Jersey and New York.  It is so sad to see the places I visited as a child {Jersey girl - born and raised!!} just completely destroyed.  My heart goes out to all of those that are dealing with the aftermath.

Stephen built this fancy thing to keep our basement door from flooding.
Good news is it worked.

We taped one window.
This one above the front door would suck if it broke.

For a few hours the property value went up as we were waterfront property!

Baby Boy was even having cabin fever!

The dog out on her leash so she didn't blow away!

The dunes did a good job :)

I have some friends in North Jersey that are without power and it seems like it will be at least a week before they get it back. And gas for their cars - it is taking anywhere from 5 to 7 hours to wait in line at the gas station. This is crazy!!

Please keep the residents of NJ and NY in your thoughts.  They have a long road ahead of them but they will get through it and come back strong!  Hopefully this potential storm they are forecasting for next week goes easy on us.
